We're More Than a Sports Club
OKGN Apna is a community-first sports and cultural society rooted in connection, culture, and collective growth. While soccer is a big part of what we do, our mission goes far beyond the game. From youth mentorship and coaching programs to cultural events, volunteer opportunities, and open-invite recreation, we’re here to create meaningful spaces for people to come together — on and off the field.
Who We Are
OKGN Apna is a grassroots sports and cultural society committed to building stronger communities through inclusive programs, cultural connection, and meaningful engagement. Proudly rooted in the South Asian community here in the Okanagan, we host a range of events and initiatives throughout the year — from recreational activities and wellness programs to cultural celebrations and community outreach. We're now expanding our impact with youth-focused development, helping kids build confidence, learn new skills, and connect with mentors through accessible camps and workshops. Whether you're a parent, a volunteer, or someone looking to get involved — there's a place for you here.

Our Vision
Our vision is to build a long-lasting, community-driven movement rooted in cultural pride, inclusion, and opportunity. We aim to empower future generations — especially youth — with the tools, mentorship, and experiences they need to thrive. Through sports, cultural programming, and community initiatives, we’re creating spaces where people can connect, grow, and give back. As we continue to expand, we remain committed to strengthening community ties, supporting new leaders and volunteers, and ensuring everyone has a place to participate, lead, and belong.
